Welcome to this integrated Italian for beginners’ course!
With me, Rita, you will explore all four areas of communication in Italian language (reading, writing, listening and speaking).
Grammar structures and vocabulary are taught not as an end in and of themselves, but as means to acquire ability in these areas.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:

course is composed of five
lessons, at the end of the course there will be a final exam providing a
certification.
Lesson 1
Presentation of the course, rules, getting to know
each other.
Communication: Greet and
introduce yourself.
Vocabulary: Greetings;
useful expressions; numbers
Grammar: The Italian
alphabet, pronunciation and Italian sounds, formal and informal;
verbs essere/avere
Lesson 2
Communication: Exchange personal
information; ask and answer questions.
Vocabulary: Dates, months of
the year, days of the week.
Grammar: Nouns: gender and
number; indefinite articles; definite articles; c’è/ci sono.
Lesson 3
Communication: talk about
wants, needs and physical states; describe people, places and objects.
Vocabulary: Descriptions
and colors; nationalities;.
Grammar: Adjectives;
present tense of avere and idiomatic expressions; introduction of regular verbs
Lesson 4
Communication Describe
what you do during the week and in your free time
Vocabulary: Free time
activities.
Grammar: Regular verbs in
–are, -ere-ire/isc; irregular verbs (fare, andare, bere, uscire, venire,
dare).
Lesson 5
Communication: Ordering food and
drink. Asking for and saying the price. Express tastes and preferences.
Grammar: the verb piacere Mi piace / Non mi piace. Mi piacciono /Non
mi piacciono; Vorrei.

bar/restaurant; food and drink
